Jamie Scott, a 2020 CFHH scholarship recipient, has experienced more adversity than most teens should ever have to endure. Despite being a survivor of domestic violence and extreme poverty, having a family in the correctional system, and spending time in foster care, Jamie has persevered. Through hard work and “rock-solid faith,” she was awarded a diploma as a Nurse Aide on April 30, 2021. Grateful, Jamie aspires to write a book about her life’s experiences, with the goal of encouraging other young people struggling through similar hardships. She hopes to become a CFHH volunteer. Jamie will be the special guest at our Annual Scholarship Brunch honoring four CFISD graduating scholarship recipients, Friday, May 21, 2021, at The Backyard Grill.
