Cy-Fair Helping Hands awarded $10K in vocational scholarships to 4 deserving CFISD students – Stephanie Santibanos (aspiring phlebotomist), Celeste Galicia (aspiring cosmetologist), Saransh Kumar (aspiring auto technician), and Aliyah Hopkins (aspiring cosmetologist.) This year (2021) is the third year for CFHH’s Vocational Scholarship program with the goal of helping young people obtain the work skills they need in order to enter the workforce quickly. A festive brunch celebration was held at The Back Yard Grill in honor of the scholarship recipients, and family members and CFISD staff were in attendance to congratulate the soon-to-be graduates. Also in attendance was a special guest, Jamie Scott, who was the first CFHH Scholarship alumnus to have reached her goal of completing her vocational training and works in her field. Jamie is a CNA that works for Right At Home.
